Bombay Black play presents perspective of a blind man

Set in present-day India, Anosh Irani’s Bombay Black focuses on a mysterious blind man named Kamal with a secret that could change Padma and her daughter Apasara’s lives.

Award-winning Indo-Canadian producer Rohit Chokhani reimagines Irani’s work as the first play told through a blind man’s point of view. He made his directorial debut with the earlier version of this production in the 2017 Vancouver Fringe Festival. The show sold out.

“Rohit Chokhani's production of Bombay Black provides just that opportunity to showcase his work as a director and to introduce the creative team and actors in the work to our audiences,” said Donna Spencer, artist-producer.

The play runs Dec. 5 to 15.
