Lougheed Sings announces finalists

Over 300 people gathered at Lougheed Town Centre recently to see and hear the top 12 finalists of the Lougheed Sings competition.
The shopping mall, a leading destination for shopping in Burnaby and shopping in Coquitlam, is hosting its annual singing competition.
Lougheed Town Centre judges received an overwhelming response, with 327 entrants putting their voices forward to be considered in the unique BC-based competition.
The judging panel had the tough task of narrowing the entrants down to a top 12.
Now it is up to the public to vote!
The public has until August 30th to submit votes either in person at the mall or online at the Lougheed Town Centre Facebook Page.
On August 31st the top 12 finalists will again perform at Lougheed Town Centre during a red carpet evening event to celebrate the music of pop icon Madonna.
Over 500 people are expected and will be treated to a live concert showcasing the local up and coming talent.
At the conclusion of the evening the winner of Lougheed Sings will be crowned.
The Grand Prize Winner will be decided by a combination of judges’ points and number of votes received.
The judging panel is made up of music industry heavyweights, including Jan Cooper of Pump Records, Frederick Robert, a former Canadian Tenor and Adam H. of Rockstar Academy.
The grand prizewinner will be awarded 2 tickets to Madonna’s September 30th Vancouver Show, a $500 shopping spree at Lougheed Town Centre, and Rockstar Academy is providing a $4,900 scholarship to the RSA Gold Singing program.
The scholarship includes 6 weeks of intensive classes with RSA coaches including pop star Elise Estrada. Best Buy Mobile of Lougheed Town Centre has generously provided a $500 gift card as a prize for the runner-up.
