Come back to UBC

May 23 — 25
UBC Pey Campus

If you just graduated from UBC, this is the weekend for you. Alumni Weekend is about learning, but this time there are no assignments, no quizzes!

Featuring lecture topics ranging from the rise of the Loonie and animal welfare to Aboriginal business development and how to live a fulfilling life, Alumni Weekend provides a primer of UBC’s research strength. Bring your cell phone and take an audio tour of campus. Brush shoulders with President Toope, and two past UBC presidents, Dr. David Strangway and Dr. Martha Piper, at a wine and cheese reception.

This is a kid friendly event and features a Let’s Talk Science Workshop, face painting and juggling acts to keep your little ones occupied over a BBQ lunch.

These are just a few of the more than 70 events offered at Alumni Weekend 2008, most of which are free or involve a nominal charge.

"Our alumni have told us they want more news and information about UBC today and more access to its intellectual riches", says Marie Earl, Associate Vice President, Alumni, "and we’ve lined up some great events to do just that. There’s something for everyone!"
