Born in a town which holds historical importance for the Sikh faith, Mr. Gurinder Singh Baidwan, 37, moved to Canada in 1993. He grew up in an environment surrounded with tourists paying homage to a monument that was built to remind us of a sacrifice made by a Guru and a father.  Mr. Baidwan is fondly called Bob by his friends and he works in the construction business, like the British animated character Bob the Builder. After doing odd construction jobs for 10 years, he ventured on his own and opened his business, Can-Asia Tiles, providing flooring supplies. Living in Canada for 17 years has made him accustomed to the Canadian lifestyle. A keen Soccer player himself, he loves to take his children to their Soccer games. In his spare time he likes to go to the shooting range and spend time with his family. “Anything that would remind me of home is available here so I don’t miss India unfortunately,” says Mr. Baidwan.
