REPORTERS/COPY EDITORS
The Asian Pacific Post and The South Asian Post have three vacancies fore reporters/copy editors to report and edit stories related to B.C’s vibrant ethnic communities.
These positions require strong writing, an ability to come up with fresh story ideas, a penchant for digging deeper into stories, and a strong knowledge of the local Asian communities and what impacts them.
As well as reporting for our print publications and special sections, the successful
candidate will also be required to provide online content for our expanding websites.
You must be able to work well with others, be organized, multi-task under tight deadlines, show leadership, and have solid news judgment.

Summary of Responsibilities
You will work in a deadline driven, team environment. Good communication skills are a must. Previous J2EE work experience ABSOLUTELY required.

• Java J2EE and good knowledge of JavaScript for client side programming
• Servlet, JSP, WebWork, Spring
• Hibernate and basic JDBC. GOOD knowledge of SQL is a must.
• MySQL database server
• Tomcat, Apache, Debian and NetBSD Specific Responsibilities

Sales and Marketing
The Asian Pacific Post and South Asian Post newspapers (www.asianpacificpost.com) are looking for responsible individuals with superb communication, and marketing skills. You will work on a series of ongoing sales projects, both on an individual and a team level. Projects will support the sales team and will support in-house marketing initiatives.
