Re: Editorial: Inquiry on top cop, December 7, 2006

The RCMP is an extremely political and internalized organization which does not tolerate dissent. There are many fine people within the RCMP but the senior management system as a whole is based upon a flawed design of intolerance and executive privilege.
The consequences for saying anything unwelcome are usually quite severe and often clandestine. The real Air India story, which has yet to be told, has potentially far more adverse exposure for the RCMP (and others) than anything to date.

Superstar cites B.C. charity to avoid jail, December 7, 2006:

It’s really disturbing how when an ‘Average Joe’ commits a crime he/she goes to jail. However, when some rich and spoiled movie star with millions of fans has abused drugs and has been associated with the criminal underworld and is even partly responsible for the deaths of over 200 people, then he believes that he deserves some leniency from the courts.
Did any of those people who are now dead from Sanjay Dutt’s lifestyle and choices have any leniency when they lay dying on the street in agonizing pain?
As the saying goes, ‘If you don’t want to do the time, you shouldn’t have done the crime’.
To the judge, please throw the book at him real hard, it might knock some sense into Sanjay Dutt’s cranium.

Re: Justice for Jassi Petition, February 23, 2006

What bothers me is the parents would go to the extent of murdering their daughter because she brought shame. However, isn’t killing her a shame all of its own?

I feel that what has been bestowed upon these young lovers is completely barbaric. Being 1/2 East Indian myself and secretly engaged to an East Indian girl, I understand what effects the culture can have.
My fiance and I are unable to begin a life together right now because we are worried of murders. I support this petition, and feel that justice should be sought.

How can I get the movie inspired by the story of Jassi and her sweetheart
who is still in jail? What can all the people providing comments on your website
do for Jassi’s husband? Can readers or viewers give donations? If so, where does one send donations to?
If everyone following this story is asked to donate just 5 dollars, I am sure justice can be bought for Jassi.
Please tell me how to get the movie.

2006 Miss Chinese (Vancouver) Pageant

All ten of these ladies are all very beautiful and talented, and different in every way, but only one of them can really win, and I personally think that it’s number 3. Good luck to them all though.
