Re: Lee Kuan Yew runs for another term, February 1, 2006
When it comes to Singaporeans I have to say, they are quite selfish lah! And even though I’m not Singaporean I do love Singapore’s cuurent Prime Minister. His father, Lee Kwan Yew, did a great deal for this country. It is sad though all his people seem to do is complain.

Re: Japan has a yen for Canadian horse meat, September 13, 2006
If horse slaughter is to be banned, the the US Congress should pass the law to prohibit horse owners from slaughtering horses, and for businesses to use alternative ways to put away horses, such as cremation. It seems strange to me that activists are focusing their protests at the slaughter-houses, but not at individual horse owners. They should also come up with their own alternatives.

Re: Women take up guns in India’s red corridor, June 9, 2006
The concept of “Naxalism” or communist uprising in rural areas evolved when the society was getting transformed and the masses in the hinterland were still deprived of basic necessities of life, under oppression from the rich and the powerful. The government on its part failed to reach out to the masses. To stop this, we must understand that Naxalism is a socio-economic problem not a military problem.

Re: Justice for Jassi Petition, February 23, 2006
Jassi’s family are cowards and should be punished for what they have done. I find it very sad to see that “money and power” are more important to them than the happiness of their own daughter. They are sick, unhappy, selfish shallow people who have nothing better to do in life but to make themselves look better.

We we shocked when we watched the movie. By all means, justice should prevail for this innocent couple, especially for the young girl who was murdered by her mom and uncle. Please bring these killers to justice!

Jassi’s parents - if they can be called so - should be serving life in prison. They are a thousand times worse than the hired killers

What a shameful waste of love. Here in this world when it is so hard to find anyway. How does her death make her parents happier? I give Jassie my support.

I don’t know how a mother can ever sleep after doing this to her daughter. She should be socially & religiously boycotted.
