Re: Editorial: Revoking dual-citizenship is a passport for disaster, Oct 26,2006

Instead of focusing on 7000 people who returned to their country with Canadian passports, why not consider how many immigrants with dual citizenship are working in Canada and contributing to the country development?

Besides, how many Canadians born are living abroad with dual citizenships?

I believe it would be beneficial for the country if we keep a balance with the positive side of dual citizenships and look at it from the “Canadian perspective.”

Re: BC Filipinos call for probe, Sept 20, 2005

President Arroyo should sign a waiver allowing Cayetano to find out the truth.

By then, we will find out who are the cowards.

The president should have  known better how hard her Filipino people work abroad just to support the families and their homeland.

We choose you as our leader to stand with our country, but it’s just a shame to have you as our president, tarnishing the image of all Filipinos and our beloved homeland.

Re: Nutty ‘billionaire’ leaves trail of debt, Feb 9, 2006

After doing a thorough Google search, I just found out that we are dealing with a dangerous guy.

Local newspapers have written so many nice articles about him. A local investigation lead to confirming that he actually is a crook.

He pledged US$2 million for the Lebanese Red Cross and another US$2 million to Auxillia (local NGO) - in a local press conference, he also promised to donate 150 million to the Lebanese government and to offer them 15 fighter jets!

What a crazy world we are living in.

Re: Thailand Coup
Pressure, Oct 4, 2006

This is an example where the United States can not wait for the people of a country to decide their own fate, before intervening. The U.S now wants the Thai army to lift martial law in a week to ten days.

Why doesn’t the U.S concentrate on what it is doing or not doing right now in Iraq?

Why don’t the US drop a few stink bombs at Burma/Myanmar to shake off the corrupt generals who are still holding Aung San Suu Kyi in house arrest?

What is the official US policy on Burma/Myanmar?

The world does not march to the drumbeat of Washington DC, Bush must recognise that if he wants to be respected.

He must also realize that leaders like Kim Jong Il of North Korea and Mahmoud Amahdinejad of Iran did not become leaders of their nations because they are photogenic.

So, lay off Thailand, give them their military hardware, sit back and watch how the Thais, who have a civilization longer than yours, solve their political problem.
