Nail Spa
To guarantee that our training was cutting edge, we teamed up with CABC Technology Provincial Champion and ABA Nail Technology Gold Medallist, Kent Nguyen. Kent’s on-going experience and expertise in the nail technology industry guaranteed that our program would teach the latest techniques and trends in nail sculpting, nail art, airbrushing, mylar art and colour gel art. From our hair design program that we teach with AXIS Salons, we also know the value of client exposure to develop the skills necessary to actually work in a spa/salon. Accordingly, we built a spa in our school and designed the program so that students start working with clients 6 weeks into the program and then work with clients daily until they graduate. This means that our students will have 13 weeks (65 days) of actual client work by the time they graduate from our 19-week program. This is very different than other programs – and very important to spa owners!
Kent held the title of CABC Nail Technology Provincial Champion for 5 years and was also an ABA Nail Technology Gold Medallist. His on-going experience and expertise of the current nail technology industry allow him to stay on the cutting edge of the industry with the latest techniques and trends in nail sculpting, nail art, airbrushing, mylar art and colour gel art. Kent shares his knowledge of the nail technology industry and its many possible business opportunities in a welcoming and unique way. He has revolutionized the nail industry and continues to push the envelope with his creativity.
Applicants must complete an application form and submit a short essay describing their background and the reason they wish to train as a hairdresser (Letter of Introduction). Students who do not attend for a personal interview must also submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer or other professional. A $500 deposit is required for registration. This deposit is subtracted from the program tuition cost (it is not an additional fee).
