Re: Editorial: `The reality of a perception in Jassi's murder’, May 25, 2006 The story of Jassi is heart-breaking. A henious crime has been committed by an uncle and a mother. The story of Dr. Asha Goel's murder is similar and it is a shame that the RCMP has shown that their record of action has been dismal. Sadan Goel
Didn't this same paper report months back that Korean officials were targeting Canadians and openly labeling them in the media as drop outs, drug addicts, and losers in general? Even going as far as deporting them? Welcome to the world of international diplomacy. I believe the saying is "you reap what you sow." Andre Re: `Asia’s obsession with white skin leaves a black mark’, May 11, 2006 Fascinating topic! As the First Black African U.S.A. Flight Attendant and President of The Institute for "Interracial" Harmony, Inc. (www.racismtest.com) - I can fully attest to the severe psychological damage done when one lightens the skin to achieve social 'acceptance!' (everyone should be tested with our racism/colorism quotient test and where dysfunction is uncovered, psychological/psychiatric follow-up counseling given). Carol Taylor
I think we must donate our parts of body after death. These parts should not be sold, because rich people get advantage of this and poor people do not get any advantage. We must request all Muslims to donate all parts of body and give life to others. Syed Aqueel Haider
When I see your creativity I cannot but think of the 20th century philosopher Eric Hoffer, a self educated life long learner who said that in time of drastic change it is the learner who inherits the future. As a self taught fashion designer I can see the words of Eric Hoffer emerging out of your passion for what you believe in. Truly, human society is a learning society when grandparents, parents and children are students. For that matter I enjoy being a learner with you. One should always remember the words of the great American educator: what you know is more important than where or how you learned it . Winst
How about banning the Sri Lanka Army and Karuna group? Isn't the Conservative government playing to the Sri Lankan racist gallery? This justifies the calls for violence against the Sri Lankan government by various parties to achieve political recognition. Instead of this foolish move, the Canadian government should force both parties to stop the violence and enter into a meaningful dialogue. Winston Thangaraja
In 1993 I met Milo Batoon, a Filipino living in Hong Kong. He was selling his family from the Philippines all over the world. Chris J. Slater
It is always sad to see someone so unhappy with their life that they attact others. The ones that usually complain are the ones who thought it was a get rich way of life. It is not you have to work just like any other way of making money...the only difference is if you love what you do it doesn't seem like work. You should spend your time and energy on making a positive difference in this world and not spreading negativity. Meg Moore
