Signature Dish: Pad Thai, or stir-fryed Thai noodle. The dish is served with ground peanut and bean sprout.

Training: Phutmos has been interested in cooking since childhood. "My grandmother taught me a lot about cooking while growing up. Everything stems from there."

Favorite Fast Food: "Pad Thai is my favorite fast food. I am not big on McDonald’s or anything," says the young chef.

Years in the Industry: Over five years

Defining Dining in Vancouver:" Vancouver dining is really unique — quite different from other countries or cities," says Phutmos. "There is such a vast mix of ethnic restaurants; you can have Indian food one day and Thai food the next."

Pad-ThaiSecret Recipe . . .

 Easy Egg Salad

• Fry 3 eggs, overturn, which is well done.

• Slice up 1 tomato and 1 white onion

• Add a little Chinese parsley

• 2 teaspoons lamb juice

• A pinch of sugar

• 1 teaspoon fish sauce

• Then add Thai chili, amount varies depending on how spicy you want the dish to be.

• Mix together.
