YES! Roadster coming to Canada?
Thu, February 07 2008
What’s so special about it? Despite being the first production car to use an exclamation mark in its name, it looks like the YES! Is more than just a teaser. It looks like it’s coming to our shores. Photos show a low-slung, wide and sleek roadster body with an energetic presence and distinctive style. The company responsible for the high-performance lightweight is called Funke and Will, and they say that overwhelmingly positive response from media, experts and customers has reflected a great public interest in their machine. Designed to elicit pure driving pleasure, the YES! comes powered by a 3.2 litre Audi V6 engine with 255 horsepower. That’s good for 0-60 in about 4.8 seconds. It’s available turbocharged too, with 100 more horsepower for 0-60 in just 3.8 seconds and a 280 kilometre per hour top speed. A special version, additionally, is available with 415 horsepower and a near-200 mile per hour terminal velocity. Funk and Will say they’ve extended distribution of the roadster to North America and Canada this year, through the newly founded YES! North America Inc. Dealers will be announced at the end of next month Tell us what you think
